Amy Bell

Treatment Manager

Amy joined DCAC as a Child and Family Therapist in 2021. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Colorado and Texas. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Methodist University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Following graduation, Amy began her career in the foster care and adoption field, where she worked extensively with all members of the adoption triad—including adoptive parents, birth parents, and adult adoptees. Over the course of 10 years, she provided counseling and case management services before transitioning into a more clinically focused role. Amy previously worked as a therapist at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, where she received specialized training in evidence-based, trauma-focused treatments, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and PSB-CBT (Problematic Sexual Behavior Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). She is certified in TF-CBT and is currently a Consultant in Training for EMDR. In addition, Amy is rostered in CFTSI (Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention) and has received training in CPP (Child-Parent Psychotherapy).
