On June 8th, we hosted our annual Breakfast Open House! This special event is a way to say “Thank You!” to all of our amazing partners, supporters, and friends. With the help of so many others, we are able to do the work that we do at DCAC. The Breakfast Open House turned out to be a wonderful day and the weather was absolutely beautiful. This year, we had some special guests in attendance. Pella, a courtroom dog, and her canine friend, Waffle, were accompanied by Amber, a criminal investigator for the 18th Judicial District in Arapahoe County and Pella’s owner. Amber, Pella, and Waffle joined us at our Breakfast Open House to spread awareness about service dogs and how Pella regularly comforts children and accompanies Amber when talking with child victims.
