Yolanda Barnes is the Senior Director of Business Engagement for Comcast, where she oversees the learning and development initiatives for the entire West Division.
Prior to her role in Business Engagement, Yolanda was responsible for overseeing the Comcast West Division flagship leadership development program LEAD – Leadership Exploration and Development. In this capacity she led a team focused on the training and empowerment of 3,000 leaders across eleven states.
Mrs. Barnes’ career with Comcast also includes seven years leading the company’s philanthropic efforts in the Houston Region. During her tenure she developed and launched several strategic community campaigns including the “Hispanic Hero Awards” and the “Mayor’s History Makers Awards,” hosted in partnership with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner.
Before joining Comcast Yolanda was a successful radio and TV personality with a career in media that spanned nearly two decades.
Mrs. Barnes holds a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
