Kate joined DCAC in 2021 as a Bilingual Child and Family Therapist. Kate received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. During her undergraduate studies, Kate worked as a Recovery Technician at a residential treatment program, was a part-time volunteer in local residential detox and long-term treatment programs, and completed a case management internship in a Youth Corps alternative high school. Upon graduating, Kate spent a year in Spain working as a teacher in a bilingual preschool. Kate received her Master of Social Work from la Universidad Católica de Chile, in Santiago, Chile, where she conducted research in residential childcare facilities as part of her thesis investigation. Upon moving to Denver in 2019, Kate worked as a Family Service Worker for Catholic Charities in two of their Head Start and Early Head Start facilities.
