Jamie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her master’s degree in Community and Trauma Counseling with a specialization in Child Trauma and Play Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Committed to quality and ethical practice in community mental health programs, Jamie has traversed the continuum of care holding positions in group homes, mental health case management, transition age life skills programs and outpatient mental health settings. Jamie also served as Adjunct Faculty at Thomas Jefferson University, teaching graduate level play therapy courses.
In her current role at DCAC, Jamie is a Child and Family Therapist providing developmentally appropriate, trauma-responsive services drawing from advanced training in nondirective play therapy, directive play therapy, and TF-CBT to best support each client.
In addition to her work at DCAC, Jamie is passionate about social justice, nature and rescue dogs! Jamie is also a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, using mindfulness and guided sensory invitations to foster meaningful connection to the environment and community surrounding us.
