Emma joined the DCAC team of therapists in early 2020. She has been working with children and families for the past decade and is passionate about supporting those who are dealing with trauma. A Colorado native, Emma first learned about Children’s Advocacy Centers as an intern at one of the advocacy centers in New Orleans while earning her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Tulane University.  She is excited to be a therapist at a CAC here in Denver. Emma is a licensed social worker who received her Masters in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has experience working with children of all ages at schools, at a residential treatment center, with neurodiverse kids, and with victims of domestic violence. Prior to coming to DCAC, Emma was a family advocate at SafeHouse Denver where she supported victims of domestic violence and their children through crisis and case management. Currently, Emma does therapy with clients at DCAC as well as in a Denver elementary school and provides mental health consultation to Head Start programs in Adams County.
