Raquel joined DCAC in 2007 after beginning her career as a victim advocate in 2006 as an intern with COVA (Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance), the Westminster Police Department and Project Safeguard. Raquel holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Metropolitan State University of Denver and specializes in serving Spanish-speaking families. In addition to guiding families through the services we offer at DCAC, she coordinates access to mental health treatment and provides community support through early childhood mental health consultation. Raquel has a particular passion for serving the Latino, adolescent, and immigrant communities. She has played an active role in all of DCAC’s programs throughout her tenure and is a valuable member of the DCAC family.
