Brenda joined the DCAC in 2023 as a Bilingual Child and Family Therapist. Brenda is originally from El Paso, TX. She grew up in El Paso, TX and in Denver, CO. Brenda received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and has been working with families since 2016. Brenda started working with The Department of Child and Family Protective Services in Texas as an Investigator. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. Brenda then moved back to Colorado and worked with Denver Human Services as a Permanency Worker. She was able to complete two internships while completing her degree, which include kinship caseworker with Denver Human Services and as a Parenting time specialist at the Karlis Center. Brenda was also able to work with Metro West Housing solutions as a Resident Coordinator, helping families with resources out in the community. Brenda is very excited to continue working with families and children in a therapeutic setting. Fun fact about Brenda…she loves dogs!
