Clean out your closets and make a difference in a child’s life by simply donating your gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, and bed and bath linens at one of our many Drop Boxes throughout Colorado. Other reusable goods (furniture, toys, infant items, kitchenware, electronics, sporting equipment and more) can be donated at the Attended Donation Centers located in Thornton and Parker, or directly at your local Savers store.
The Drop Box program generates vital sustainable income for DCAC’s programs from the sale of donated clothing to Savers thrift stores, income which exceeded $160,000 in 2008. The program is facilitated through our affiliate 501(c)(3) organization, the Advocacy Center Foundation, which uses proceeds from donations to support DCAC and other Colorado organizations helping abused children by funding training programs, legislative advocacy, and collaborative prevention, treatment and forensic interviewing efforts. Donations are tax-deductible (click here for a tax receipt) and a great way to help the environment by recycling items that might otherwise end up in a landfill.

of used clothing into the drop box.”
Currently DCAC has a growing number of Drop Boxes in Colorado, locations made possible through the kind sponsorship of retailers such as Wal-Mart, Ace Hardware, Regency Centers, Jenny’s Market, Texaco, Albertson’s Walgreens, Conoco, The Home Depot, Circle K, Safeway, King Soopers, Grease Monkey, Hobby Lobby, and many others. More sponsors are always needed – if you have the area of one parking space to donate please contact our Community Relations Representative, Barbara Jaynes, at 303-414-1240 or call DCAC at 303-825-3850.
* Special thanks to Beth Croucher for her unwavering support to the Advocacy Center Foundation.
